The Auschwitz Monument situated in the Garden of Sculptures at Yad Vashem, takes the form of a pillar, resembling a chimney, inscribed with actual Auschwitz inmate numbers. It was designed by Elsa Pollack, a survivor of the Auschwitz death camp. The Auschwitz Monument was a gift of David Feuerstein, Chile, former Auschwitz inmate no. 160023.
